Doubletree at the entrance to universal

Does anyone know how good the Doubletree at the entrance to universal is cause we have booked a room there in june for seven days and they say it is only a 15 minute walk to universal and didn't know how of a long walk that is and if it is too dangerous due to the fact I have an 11 year old and 15 year old that would be walking with me.

Universal Evolution:
We stayed at the Days Inn Orlando, which is just a minute walk or so past the Doubletree.  We walked to Universal every day on the same path that you will be using.  It's a good path, well maintained and all on the Universal complex.  Actually, our last day there I had some extra video tapes so I taped the entire walk starting at the Doubletree to City Walk, lol.  I'll try to find that tape and let you know how long of a walk it really is, lol.

Universal Evolution:
Found the video!  It took us 12 minutes to walk from the Doubletree to City Walk  :)
