History ends with disaster...
« on: January 19, 2009, 05:30:32 PM »
I was eating some lunch today and decided to dust off my old VHS videos of Universal.  I picked out my favorite, the Ghostbusters video, and slid it into my VHS player.

Well, the cruel head of technology struck a blow as nothing happened and an unnatural revving noise came forth.  I quickly hit eject, fearing the worst  :o.  Just my luck, my fears weren't unfounded: the tape was stuck in the device.  Now, if I don't get the tape out, I may never be able to watch it again.  Even then, its a gamble.

I was hoping, down the line, to upload it to the site, but now perhaps that will never happen... :'(

That's terrible!  What year was the video released?

Well, it was a good-quality home video from 1994.  Luckily, I managed to get it out with the tape intact.  So, there is hope...

Glad to hear you got it out OK.  Speaking of which, I should really start digitizing all my old family VHS tapes from the 90's before they deteriorate!
