Ghostbusters: Back in Business
« on: November 08, 2008, 05:51:11 PM »
As I was reading the pages of Proton Charging, a sweet GB fan site, they posted a recent statement from Sony:

To recognize this special milestone, Sony Pictures Consumer Products Inc has licensed the property for several new products to commemorate the anniversary, including: video games, toys, t-shirts, comic books, prop replicas, and a theme park attraction.

I thought to myself about how sweet the replicas are gonna be and the toys. When would they- A THEME PARK ATTRACTION!?!?!?!

I shook my head in disbelief. Could it be? Was I hallucinating?  I searched Universal Orlando's site and found that they renewed the Ghostbusters licence in 2007.  All signs point to a possible rejuvination of the Ghostbusters at USF.

 :o :o :o :o :o :o

That would be totally awesome! Bring back the ghostbusters! And prop replicas eh? Ive always been after a proton pack! There was a listing on ebay a few weeks back for the ecto1 that was at USF! It went for $45,000!

That would be like £25,000 for me, i wanted it so badly to be shipped to the uk lol! But such a long vehicle could not cope with the narrow bendy European streets  8)

http://www.universalorlando.com/copyright.html?intsrch=ghostbusters

It's under G (naturally).  I just used the search box to find "ghostbusters" and it came up.
Interestingly, the copyright date just changed to 2009.  Seems there's more to the rumor than meets the eye...
