Construction Update
« on: May 24, 2008, 10:04:06 AM »
Construction for the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter has been going on for quite a while now.
The first buildings are rising up and the first roofs are going on.
A new bridge has been constructed that goes from the lost continent to the Jurassic Park island. (at least that's from what i can see) I believe that the bridge will help bypass traffic when the path between Jurassic Park and the Lost Continent has to be closed for construction.

Below are a few pictures of the construction courtesy of orlandorocks.com (I haven't come around to take any pictures, or haven't thought to do so since i live right next door basically, well 30 mins away)

The New Bridge:

Thanks for the update.  The JP entrance looks so different with the building being constructed right behind it.  How much of Jurassic Park and Lost Continent are blocked off?

As of right now nothing is blocked off yet, but i'm expecting that to change pretty soon.

I believe the Quiditch ride could be the re-theming of the Dueling Dragons.
They already updated or rather renovated the castle's outdoors, now the question remains will it become part of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter?

Hmmmm, if they change Dueling Dragons, they are probably gonna change the waiting line inside the castle, the only video I did not have time to get :(  Does anyone have video of this?

The inside theme of the line probably won't change too much since you never really get to look that closely at Hogwarts or where ever the characters of H.P. go in the movies. maybe they'll change a few of the main props like the book and the video in the beginning of the line. Whatever they do, if they do a huge makeover it would take a long time to do, remember that this is the longest line to an attraction in the world.

lol agree.  It was great the first time, but after several trips walking through it over and over again got a little annoying.  This was all before they started putting out "re-ride" sign out and letting you bypass everything else.  So much easier to jump on Fire in less than a minute after being on Ice.

I wish they still had that sign. They haven't had that sign out in over two years now. at least never when i went.
I always check the door the sign used to hang on to see if it is unlocked and i've been majorly lucky with that. It has been unlocked about half the time. sometimes i don't have time to check because i just wanted to ride it once and leave or something.

Last year in August they had the sign out, but only when the park just opened and then for maybe 2 hours after that.  Must only come out when there is hardly anyone in the park.  I'll have to try your "check the door the sign used to hang on to see if it is unlocked" technique next time, lol.

good luck getting caught. there is not a single ride attendant or employee at the location of that entrance and the part it is in the line. the closest person is near the baby-swap area and is operating the ride....
