BTTF Train Display
« on: May 14, 2008, 08:25:29 AM »
It's nice to see the train back out on display and with a fresh new coat of paint!

Now... where is that JAWS: Revenge shark? lol

I hear Doc and the DeLorean can be seen cruising the streets, meeting and greeting people.

yes they can be seen.
Doc himself (the guy that plays him) actually told me he and Delorane weren't going anywhere the day BTTF closed and I rode it a last time.
It's great that they still roam the streets at specific times throughout the day.
I just don't think they have a character meet or so set up for them at Universal.

It will be nice to see them cruising the streets. Do the GB'ers still cruise in the ecto 1a? I remember  seeing some sort of street show outside the twister gift shop last time i was there

I believe there was a sign saying the Ghostbuster car was on loan from Sony.  From what I 've heard Sony has since taken the car back and are now refurbishing it.

That would be a great idea, need something like the Meet Donkey area but for BTTF.  I'm sure Universal has some room for it, it's nice to see they're not completely vanishing BTTF all together.

Ok, so here's a little update on the whereabout of the train and Delorane.
I went to universal today and below are the pictures I remembered to take for you all.
The pictures are shot towards the Monster Cafe/Twister area from right near the Lagoon.

Beauty!  Looks like they have a good little setup there.  Hopefully the train won't be going anywhere for a while, unless of course if they make a permanent display for it  ;D

yea the train has definitely received a new paint job and the lights in the front of the train I don't recall ever having lit up, or at least not in the past year of BTTF being there. They do light up now and it looks quite cool. I think the setup there is pretty permanent. The empty sidewalk area and surrounding area period gets a nice touch up by having the BTTF display there. I remember this area being completely empty and thinking to myself "out of the entire park, this is the most boring area, no theme, no props, nothing". Well now they have the train and Delorane there, great location in my opinion.

Do they have that "Jules Verne Train featured in Back to the Future" sign up that was used before?
